This past weekend, Our Beauty Referral Network had the incredible honor of being media guests at the International Fashion Gala in Vancouver, BC hosted by David Chen. Let us tell you — it was nothing short of magical. We’re still buzzing from the energy, the fashion, and the amazing community that came together in one beautiful space.

First and foremost, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to David Chen and the ever-inspiring Myriam Callot for the invitation. These two truly know how to put on an unforgettable show. Their dedication to showcasing art, creativity, and international talent left us in absolute awe. The event was a perfect blend of glamour and authenticity — which, as you know, is exactly our vibe.

This wasn’t just another fashion event. It was a celebration of art, diversity, and connection — and it also marked a huge moment for us: the launch of our brand-new digital magazine.

That’s right — Our Beauty Referral Network Magazine is officially here! And there couldn’t have been a better place to introduce it than among some of the most stylish, passionate, and talented people in the industry. We believe beauty is about so much more than surface-level glamour — it's about expression, community, wellness, and creativity. This event felt like the perfect mirror of everything we stand for.

As guests and contributors to the media coverage, we were front and center to witness stunning runway moments, jaw-dropping designs, and meaningful stories behind the collections. One of the standout moments for us was seeing Myriam Callot herself light up the runway in a breathtaking ensemble designed by Myles Laphen. Myriam’s look was a golden dream — sparkling, intricate, and full of goddess energy. The off-shoulder lace gown, layered in gold chains, crystals, and celestial embellishments, was a piece of art created by Myles Laphen. But it was the wildly creative headpiece — a spiral of golden and silver curls — that truly stole the show. Her confidence, grace, and strength radiated with every step she took. This look wasn’t just fashion — it was empowerment.

We’d also like to shine a spotlight on Myles Laphen, who was our absolute favorite designer of the night. His work is bold, rich in story, and impossible to ignore. Every piece on the runway carried intention — and the craftsmanship spoke volumes. Myles has a gift for blending elegance with edge, and we cannot wait to see more of his work in the future.

This event reminded us why we do what we do. It’s not just about beauty, fashion, or trends — it’s about the people, the creators, the conversations, and the connections that happen when passion meets purpose. We met some incredible small business owners, artists, and fellow creators who are all doing amazing work in their communities.

It also gave us a chance to introduce the direction we’re headed with Our Beauty Referral Network. While we’ll always celebrate outer beauty — the glam, the artistry, the moments like this gala — we’re also here to dig deeper. Our new magazine will spotlight holistic wellness, toxin-free beauty, inner healing, and the kind of self-care that comes from the inside out.
